A 9 new units’ development with balconies and communal garden providing the essential external space for the flats. Due to the proximity to the neighbouring buildings piling was used to secure the excavations and reduce horizontal movement. The rest of the substructure has been designed with reinforced concrete slabs and walls. The superstructure is a mixture of load bearing walls and steel members. The steel decking infilled with concrete has been used for the floor plates. Cranked steel frames with timber joists infill have been adopted for the roof structure.
